There's no pressure to buy

Jewellery sales assistants are trained not only to serve you, but to get as much money out of you as possible. I know because I worked in other major high street jewellery shops. It's not a very nice thing and it is not something we do in our business. Whether you are shopping online or in person with us, our main concern is to get the right thing for you within your budget. We want to retain you as a customer for many years, not put you under pressure to buy. Browsing online allows you to see all of our jewellery designs without any pressure. You can compare different pieces, read about the ideas behind the collections and really take your time to consider what would be the best thing for you. We're here to help with questions or with any customisations you want to make but we feel browsing online allows customers the best chance to take their time without feeling any pressure.

It's fun to look at jewellery in person but you don't get the opportunity to see the designs in as much detail as we can show you in a close up photograph. Our  exceptionally high standards are visible in images that allow you to see every facet on a gemstone and every hand crafted detail of the setting. You'd need a magnifying glass in real life to get this detailed view. 

Our jewellery has a lot to say. It is not muted decoration. It can convey complex ideas and messages that make our gifts much more meaningful. Getting the opportunity to explore these ideas online by reading about the inspiration behind the designs is like visiting an art gallery. It can be a little overwhelming to look at too many pieces of art in detail in one trip. You want to explore ideas gradually and get a real understanding of the concepts. 

We can give you meaningful insights to make your gifts more successful 

As part of our digital services, we are able to look and let you know what pieces your partner, friend, mother or daughter has liked or commented on through our social media to help you surprise them with a piece of jewellery they will love. 

We can also keep a record for you of things you have purchased to make sure you don't buy the same gift twice. 

We can also keep a record of finger sizes, chain lengths that are preferred and earring styles that are best, whether a drop or a stud earring or either is best for the gift.

Our new jewellery studio is just as innovative and tailored to your shopping needs.

Located in Ayr, close to the High Street, our jewellery studio offers a number of advantages to shopping the old fashioned way. 

Flexible opening hours

Instead of being open on similar days and times as surrounding shops, which is a requirement stipulated by insurance companies, we can now open seven days a week from 10am to 8pm. This means that you can arrange to come in person to see any pieces in real life at a time that suits you best. 

Not only does this mean you have more choice of times to shop with us but it makes it easier for you to arrange a time that suits both you and your partner if you want to shop together for wedding rings, a commission or a gift for your daughter. 

If your gift is for your partner, being able to shop with us in the evening helps to keep the surprise as no one is guessing that you are buying an engagement ring or eternity ring if you pop out for half and hour in the early evening. 

We have even had surprise appointments in the evening. One customer arranged to take his wife out for an early evening anniversary meal while their parents looked after their children. On the way home, he suggested a long walk home, via our studio. He had pre arranged with us that they would be coming and discussed a budget so that we could have eternity rings ready to show her. It was a really thoughtful way to turn a purchase of an eternity ring into an experience and a memory they will both share. 

Similar surprises have been arranged for birthday gifts. The studio is able to be personalised to suit the occasion. 

Michelin Star Service

This is how one of our customers described her experience of shopping at our studio. We don't open our doors and see who comes in. We plan and prepare for your trip because you are a special and valued guest. 

When you arrange a time to come, we discuss the specific pieces you want to see and also a little bit about who the gift or purchase is for. That way we can create a completely personal experience for you. 

The studio will have the pieces you want to see and also some other things we think you'd enjoy looking at. 

We can offer you tea, coffee and chocolates, or champagne or gin if you are not driving, while you take your time to look at jewellery without anyone else intruding on your shopping experience or rushing you. 

Privacy when you are making a big purchase is very important. You don't want other people overhearing what you are buying or how much you are spending and you don't want anyone seeing you and spoiling a surprise you have planned. Especially if it is an engagement ring. It's incredible how often people bump into people they know in a local jewellers and if you are a man of a certain age and it's not Christmas, people will suspect that a ring is on the cards soon. 

Privacy is also very important when discussing emotional commissions such as remodelling heirlooms. Our studio is a safe place where you can discuss things that might bring tears to your eyes. 

You can try things on in person

A close up detailed picture is great but trying on a piece of jewellery to see how it feels and looks on you is also very important. Our studio provides a unique space where you can do this in a luxurious setting. You can try on several pieces and choose what you like best without the hassle of returns and refunds. 

You can see loose gemstones in person

Colour is a very personal thing. How people see colour and how it makes them feel is unique to each person. Computer and phone screens can distort colours and so can different lighting. Our studio has natural daylight and halogen lighting that allows you to see the colour of gemstones as they will appear in your daily life. Many shopping centre jewellery shops don't have natural light and gemstones can look very different after you buy them and take them home. 

As well as our gemstone jewellery, you can commission unique pieces made from gemstones that we source for you. We are able to get gemstones for you to see and we can return them if the colours are not exactly right for you. We are also able to have gemstones cut in specific shapes for you, but these would not be able to be returned.

Appointments don't have to be planned far in advance 

Some appointments can be made for the same day. Call us and tell us when you want to come and what you want to see. Not everything is stored at our studio. Some of our more expensive pieces are stored in a vault but we do have items that you can click and collect or view on the same day that you get in touch. For more expensive items and loose gemstones, we recommend booking around a week in advance or more if you know you are coming. 

We have been trialling this service since the beginning of 2024 and although it is unusual to book an appointment with a jeweller, it makes a lot of sense. We are seeing each person, one at a time, to give a focused personal service and people are preferring this to queuing in a shop. Some people have said that it gives them a boost even to see "appointment with jeweller" in their calendar. If you want personal service, an appointment works just as well for a jeweller are it does for a hairdresser or beautician and when you think about it, why wouldn't something as personal as jewellery shopping benefit from an appointment? 

Free Parking

No more parking tickets for being 2 minutes late to your car. We have free on street parking, right at our door. No walking for miles in the rain or dark to get to a shop and you are straight out of our studio back to your car. You can see your car from our studio window so you won't have an nasty surprises when returning to it that you might get in a car park. 

Customers with parents who have mobility issues or people with prams have found the location and parking for the studio a real improvement on their experience of shopping elsewhere. 

Phygital gift vouchers

Even our jewellery gift vouchers are Phygital. You can order them online to be delivered to your inbox immediately and you can forward it on as a gift. You can also request to have a physical voucher posted to you so you can give it in person as a gift. 

Click and Collect or Free Delivery

You can choose to have your purchase delivered anywhere in the UK for free within 48 hours of ordering or you can Click and Collect. Click and collect is a speedy service that means you can have the gift if you need it at short notice or you prefer not to have to be in to sign for a delivery. 

Our studio also offers you the choice of a free return method. You can order anything online for free delivery and then arrange to return it in person so you can avoid the costs of returning or exchanging anything.
