This is the first DNA family link necklace, designed in 2000 by Christine Sadler. Since then, many people have copied this idea but none match the beauty and elegance of the original, which remains the best. 

Christine called this design, Designer Genes. This collection of jewellery is designed to be given to family members to show the invisible bond you share, the bond that scientists have discovered the shape of but which even our ancestors knew existed. 

The beautiful twisted ladder shape of the structure of the double helix in this collection is an elegant way to bring to life this invisible bond. It tapers at the top, joining in a single point and curves at the bottom. This forms an unbroken line that has three bars bridging the space within which represent the two parents and the child. 

When people think of designer genes, they think of the changes science can make to modify who you are. This collection is about saying to your family members that you love them exactly as they are and you are proud to share this bond with them. It is designed to show a connection, not designed to alter who you are. 

The Designer Genes pendant is 29mm long by 9mm wide and it is on a sterling silver box chain that is 45cm long. This necklace is rhodium plated to prevent the silver tarnishing. It has Christine Sadler's branded benchmark logo of authenticity on the back of the chain.

UK shipping is free for all orders and includes free luxury gift wrapping and box and gift bag.

We can arrange for your order to arrive on a day that suits you best. It will be delivered before 1pm on the day of your choice. That can include delivery on a Saturday if that suits you best.

If your payment has passed 3D secure authentication, we can also deliver it to an alternative address with a message for the recipient.
